My neighbors 8-year-old son is quite mean to their dog, but he does it because he has seen his parents do the same. If you've seen the parents abusing the dog then I would anonymously tell the proper authorities. If it's just the daughter, and the parents aren't to stand-offish, I would tell them. I would try not to make it sound like you're accusing them of anything but just informing them of what's going on.

i got an ipod a few days ago, 4th gen 32 gb, and i upgraded it to 4.3 without thinking, now i want to jail break it so i downloaded the firmware for 4.2.1 and put it in DFU mode, and when i shift clicked restore and selected the firmware, it came up with an error like this "The ipod "ipod" could not be restored. an unknown error occurred (3194)" and same error comes up when i try it with the firmware for 4.1. also the error comes up when it gets to the point where is says "verifying restore with apple" please help!

Need Peace of Mind?

For the past month and a week or so I have gotten Bronchitis, URI, bladder infection....those went away about 2.5 weeks ago. Last monday here are symptoms I got. Very bad headache, fever, chills, hot flashes, coughing to the point my whole body was sore and almost throwing up, getting very clammy, feelings of fainting....very weak tired. you get it. Well I went to the Doc on Thurs and he gave me antibiotics for my cold and took blood to see if I was anemic or had a thyroid problem. - Blood results came back and I am o.k. I feel better the cold is pretty much gone. But I have this dizzy feeling, lightheaded and hot flashes that will not go away. I also should mention and this is kind of personal (sorry to any guys reading). I had a baby back in August and didn't have a period until the end of December then I have had a period every week since then and VERY heavy flow. ob said take bc. I am having a problem with my grandparents and where they stand in my daughters upbringing...?

My daughter is almost 4 years old and has been in MY grandparents (her GREAT grandparents) lives since day one. Now, she is getting older and becoming more her own person and very demanding sometimes. Anyways, tonight my grandfather had a HUGE blowout at me because I would not allow her to eat potatoe chips and he went ahead and gave her a handful right in front of me. Back when I turned Thirteen, I had been hanging around friends that Had been making Anti-Semetic, and Racist Jokes, but when I copied the punchline back, I was called "Racist". I became confused, because I wondered how anyone could make things of that nature "a joke". My confusion lead me to make some really bad mistakes, the biggest of which was a racist remark I had made on my Thirteenth birthday out of confusion, and not hate. This made one of the "Friends" who confused me, angry, as well as my father. I'v been hurting, and struggling, and haunted over these mistakes for years! Trying to come to terms with them, so I could go back to living carefree. When I realised "Yahooanswers" was the perfect place to make a public apology for the statements I made out of confusion, I decided to go for it last night, only to be criticized, and beaten down for it (understandably). Although, in my lengthy apology, I did not explain what lead to my remarks, so people became angry with me. I just want forgiveness, so that I can move on from this prison! I did not want to mention who confused me, because it was afterall, an apology for my own faults. I have only done that three times, one which was after this, which was made by mistake. And the other two, were out of confusion. I did not explain the confusion part, but knew that If I confessed, I would finally be able to move on, and build a brighter future, one without guilt. When i was really depressed, did I permanently damaged my friendship?

I know what its like to be depressed, and trust me it is a painful, lonely road. And to a degree, this behavior is not your fault. I know especially when I was depressed, I acted completely different towards people even even when I didn't want to, or mean to. My best suggestions would be: see a psychologist, (if your depression is bad you should probably think about medication), definitely get medical help. If you dont want to talk to your parents, try talking to someone at school or seek medical help yourself When I used to be depressed I used to think I deserved it, and I was stuck in that zone. I used to feel like I never wanted to get better and I was always hopeless. I had horrible self esteem; never felt good enough for anything or anyone. I always felt like no one understood me and at times people would think I was faking. That pissed me off the most. The best way for you to get better, is to WANT help. That is the hardest part. For you to WANT to feel better. I used to cut myself, and do dangerous thing to self inflict harm on myself. Trust me this is not something you want to be feeling at all, or ever. I also used to have an eating disorder. Also I tried to commit suicide once.Trust me , I have been through at all.Right now you probably are feeling like its never going to get better, BELIEVE ME I have been there. I know what it feels like. And I probably already know all the things you are thinking right now or have thought. Now that I am better, I thank God that I am okay and I decided to want to live. It was a miracle I survived and I am lucky. You CAN be happy and you deserve to be happy.But the question is are you better enough now to tell them your sorry and repair your friendship with them? If they were ever really your friends, they would have never given up on you. Yet sometimes people are too stubborn to admit their faults. They were in the wrong too, but some people just don't know how to deal with depression. In fact one of my boyfriends dumped me because he was so overwhelmed he couldn't deal with it. I have been renting my property for almost 7 years now. In that time we have decorated and added curtain poles etc., that were needed (as there were none) - we have decided that we would like to get new carpets (present carpets are about 30 years old (old RAF houses)) and new bathroom suite (30 yrs old too) because we plan to stay where we are for at least another 5-10 years (we have young family and like our home and area) - our tenancy is a long term tenancy and the landlord has no intention of every kicking us out - unless of course we default in rent or abuse the home. We plan to pay for this ourselves, but what i would like to know is, should our landlord actually pay for the refurbishments or contribute towards this? If we pay for it ourselves would he automatically increase our rent - because we will have improved the property (our rent has never been increased since we moved in).

My landlord moved us into an apartment with a serious bedbug situation. What now?

My landlord is as negligent as they come. Our apartment is the only one with bedugs and he promised to move us out, and now he will not return calls. I have a newborn, and My brother who came to visit has over 24 bites all over his face and neck, and my fiance and I get bit all th time. We never even thought bedbugs were real until we got here! kay so my brother is two years older than me, and he has an amazing friend. His name is Kendall, and his just incredible. Squirel and the other kid leave but Penny won't leave without me freeing Rory from the box. when I do he tries to follow me out but every time I get close to the exit the slavers kill him. p.s. this also happens when I try to set free the people I enslaved earlier in the game i.e. Susan Lancaster, Arkansas, Red, and Flak. I'm not sure how far I got in, but it was so boring I just couldn't go the whole way through. I even had it on it's hardest, and it just sucked. MP after about ten hours got boring too. Basically, you pick sniper cl, shoot, move, shoot, move, and by games end, you're 30/1. Or go the tank rout. The spray guns in that game are more annoying than COD, which is why I don't use them, nor like to play. As I know it, sparring does not have such restrictions. People I know were taught to "take the hits" as they went up the ranks, which means that they had face and groin armor but a lot more freedom. This does sound like a sizable restriction and I suggest you talk to your instructor about it.

I just got a sony hdr cx100, and I was filming a how to video for school. It's how to kickflip, which is a skateboarding trick. Why do many firemen/EMS have such an attitude?

Now, I'm not looking to start any fights or insult people. However, I am very often around people from those professions and have noticed that many of them are pretty arrogant. Why? Many have an attitude of being better than others, and I have firsthand experience of EMS making fun of an attempted suicide victim at the scene. They just act so conceited, as if they are better than "normal" people. I have noticed that this is often more characteristic of volunteers than paid professionals. Yes, I know that they do help the general public. But members of the military are almost never as arrogant as firefighters/EMS. There is a huge difference between pride in an organization and arrogance. Obviously, not all members are like this, but this has become a stereotype to me. So please, help me understand this.

GAAAAHHH!!!! I got the popular "VirusRemover 2008" thing and now my computer is acting wonky. I thought I deleted it, I also searched for it with Ad-aware and deleted it that way, and I'm still getting pop-ups! I keep doing scans with Ad-aware and it's finding malware, says it removed it, and has me restart the computer. I rescan and it's still there. At this point I'm really frustrated. What do I do?

The previous owner of my truck replaced the door speakers with toxik door speakers and a couple 12'' kenwood subs.. It sounds alright, but when i crank it up it the subwoofers get pretty washy. Except for places like CA & NY welfare payments run from a little under $300. a month to less than $500. with only $50. a month more per child. Public housing is a joke as are most of the HUD funded rentals. The cities & most HUD landlords get a fortune from the govt. for rentals they couldn't pay someone to live in otherwise. Then for that minor amt. they have to work 4 hrs. a day, 5 days a week in grunt jobs that give them no training. Even food stamps only average out to about $25. a week. Welfare is like our health care system. We put bandages on gangrenous, oozing wounds & then beat them down with words that cut deep. I do volunteer work for a homeless shelter & mission. I've seen how worthless & ashamed people feel because they have to ask for help. I've also seen those made bitter because of being judged by those like you who have never walked a mile in their shoes.Many states don't give any benefits beyond food stamps to adults unless they have a minor child. They also have to practically tell their whole life story & prove it to even get benefits with a child. To do this they have to go to various people including neighbours to sign papers that everything is true. So again they have to be humiliated in front of neighbours in hope of getting help. By no means is everything automatic. Would you work for what amounts to about $4. an hr. & still have to put up with the humiliation of people thinking you're lazy & worthless? You don't need a critique, you need to get some real life experience instead of believing what sounds good.

Growing up, my parents had beagles. After I moved out, I got a Chow/Shepherd mix and a Keeshond. They died within a year of each other and then we waited about a year and now have a Boxer. Tonight my teammate/good friend hit his head very hard on a gymnasium floor at our volleyball game. He fell down and began to shake uncontrollably, foamed at the mouth, and his eyes rolled back into his head. EMTs arrived soon after and he is doing fine in a hospital now, but now I'm sitting here wondering how hard did he hit his head? I would choose safety and function over aesthetics because that is what is most important. The color seems fine, as it is gender neutral and if you don't like the ruffles, you can also take them out or redesign the crib somehow. If you look at most other underdeveloped nations, families do not care what color or shape the crib is in, just as long as it's safe and comfortable. I recently started an Adderall IR prescription and after one week, have begun to get a constant headache behind my right eye/eyebrow. I take 15mg. in the morning and a second dose around 2:00pm. The headache comes in the morning about an hour after waking up and goes away about an hour before bed. Other medication I take includes Allegra, Centrum Multivitamin and a Once-A-Day 250mg Magnesium supplement. Again with this 30-year old who is the school psychologist, I've reached yet another solid rock. I see the social difficulties I have beginning to unfold, and I see her attitude changing. She just isn't the same vibrant, ecstatic person she was. That is my only observation. has for the other activities and liquor, sorry i dont really know. but i can tell you that mandalay bay is a great hotel. i stayed there a couple of summers ago and i absolutely loved it and cant wait to go back. i had the view of the strip facing the luxor and i recommend it. it was beautiful at night with the big skylight from the luxor jst going up and the whole strip glowing. hope that helps and have a fun time in vegas!

Refusal to give blood to a dying friend-against your religion?

I have a rare blood type that less than 15% of the population shares. Recently, I was delighted to discover that one of my best friends shares the same blood type. I was elated because in the case of an emergency where a blood transfusion was needed, it would be difficult to find a matching donor. When I expressed that we could help each other if the need ever arose, she said that blood was sacred and she couldn't do that. She also mentioned that her religion does not permit the sharing of blood or organs.
