Extreme ual arousal a problem?

I'm a 22 year old female. I may be suffering from a disorder. I haven't been ually active for 6 months because I have no bf and I don't believe in casual . But, for at least 8 years, I've had this extreme horniness that comes once every 3 weeks or so. I just get so unbearably , i start squirming and trembling, my uterus feels like it's having period cramps. I can't sit still. I have to masturbate so many times to feel better. When I had a bf, it wasn't so bad. Right now, it seems like the thought of my recent ex bf is triggering these episodes. Is this a hormonal disorder or something? It actually feels quite scary because of the cramping and loss of concentration. When I have one of these attacks, I can't do anything but lay in bed, shaking for 30 minutues. Then i have to masturbate. Please don't laugh, it may seem funny and embaring but it's really bothering me.
