How can I amuse my dog?

I'm at home with a broken shoulder, so I can relate to your dog. My dog likes watching animal planet, especially when there are African animals like elephants and hippos etc. Also my dog enjoys football? Maybe it's because it's always on or maybe the gr? His favorite activity that doesn't involve moving a lot though is to sit in the front room window and watch birds. Maybe throw some bread out and sit with him inside. I say inside because my lab also likes to chase birds if he's outside.
